I attended the 2016 Notary Symposium located in Modesto, CA. It was recommended to me from the person administering the fingerprinting and the background check at the location of my exam for renewing my Notary Public commission.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I registered for the Symposium, and I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to pursue being a Notary Signing Agent. After attending this Symposium, I learned so much about the Notary Signing Agent job and how it to make it successful. The guest speakers were amazing and come from different walks of life. You will be inspired and motivated.
I like the fact of meeting other notaries that are brand new, i.e., just recently received their Notary Public commission, and also meeting other attendees that are well experienced as a Notary Signing Agent. I learned a lot from just being able to meet and chat with them during the Symposium. Also, to have them as a contact should any questions arise that I may have after the symposium has ended. It feels like you have a team that you can bounce ideas off of or be able to get some feedback regarding companies that are seeking Notary Signing Agents. Additionally, the guest speakers that present at the Notary Symposium share stories of how they got started and they are committed with providing you with the tools and assistance that you will need to launch your business. The resources are what you take away and this was critical for me because the Notary Signing Agent course I had taken did not help me with marketing or assist me with handling specific notary signing agent questions. The Symposium really is notaries helping other notaries.
I would highly recommend this to any Notary Public and to anyone that is wanting knowledge and direction with becoming a Notary Signing Agent. This is a good way to learn about being a Notary Signing Agent, and also this Symposium provides you with the resources to assist you so you never have to feel like you are doing this alone.
