This isn’t meant to be a lesson on successful dating, although these tips could help there too. This is about when all is equal, how do people choose who they want to work with, repeatedly? What makes you stand out from the rest?
People want to do business with others that they like.
Of course, that is not enough; you need to be competent at what you do, be able to meet their requirements, etc. There are inherent traits and/or learned ones that can push the scales in your favor. They are the keys to becoming irresistible, leading people to you over another person who provides the same service.
Let’s start with kindness and humility.
A reminder that life is valuable and showing an interest in what they need before our own needs. An absence of entitlement; we must earn what we get, it is not ours just because we were first. You do not need to put your needs front and center as you know who you are and realize the abundance which lets you share your good fortune with others. Humility shows how you value yourself.
Curiosity is the constant thirst for knowledge, connection and experience. This provides fresh, open eyes to any situation and allows the latest information to come into your world, expanding your knowledge, and becoming a resource for others. Curiosity is a way to show how you value others.
Empathy is a trait that demonstrates genuine care about others and the ability to understand the world through another’s eyes. This trait helps you connect with others and make them feel understood and a little more alive. They just feel better having spent time with you and look forward to another opportunity to do so again. Empathy is how you value the bond between you and others.

These qualities make the difference in our ability to connect with others, be genuine, and successfully be selected for assignments consistently. Think about with whom you do business, especially personal services, whether it is your hairdresser, manicurist, massage therapist, yoga instructor or personal trainer. You go back to them not just because they are good at what they do; you could get the same service from anyone with those skills. You stay with them because you like and trust them, and feel good when you are with them.
Kindness, Curiosity and Empathy are the keys to becoming warm, attractive and memorable. Think about how you can exhibit and enhance these traits and if you find yourself lacking, look for ways to build that trait as part of your skill to connect with clients.
